Necessities from Nostalgia

This time of year is always a bit nostalgic for me- it marks the start of college football, the end of summer and rush week always happened to fall on Labor Day weekend. Since I still refuse to believe I'm no longer a lost 18 year old, I also still refuse to believe I'm an adult.

So, here's what I've decided. Since I can't seem to post on this damn thing often enough, I'm first of all going to stop making false written promises to do so on the blog.

I've also come up with an editorial calendar (hahahaha. we'll see if it helps) On the docket:

You may have noticed the blog got a facelift- and I absolutely love it. I wanted to simplify the template while still keeping it as girlie as ever. I love clean lines, white space and light grey. So, I was pretty much sold on it the moment I spotted it.

Let's rewind say to mid July. Yes I realize that was a month ago, but there are some amazing memories and hilarious moments too good to leave out. I'm gonna try to squeeze a bit in through the next few posts.. so bear with me. Pour a glass of wine, coffee or tequila shot...

I feel like I've been covering the exterior quite a bit. 

Figured it's time to bring it indoors, and show a little of our place.

There are still so many projects, and I'm going to do reveal posts as they completed if they ever get there!

I have successfully crossed an item off my bucket list. 

It only took me half the summer :)

We drunkenly booked this adventure with Kayak Chicago- for July 5th. I'm glad we at least knew not to do the early afternoon tour. To our friends who came, you're welcome.

So before we get started here, I'd just like to say that you always have the absolute best time when you least expect it.

I'm terrified to plan my birthday (even though i do it every year), plan a trip's itinerary too much, in general I just don't like to set expectations because you'll always fall short on what you were hoping for.

god forbid i ever get married.

Point is: the least pressure,  inevitably the more fun.

To say this 4th was epic would be an understatement, but I'll try to describe it to the best of my memory.
